Man Accused Of Recording Women In Shower For Six Years May Only Get Probation

A mother and daughter's sense of security has been shattered by the revelation they've been secretly recorded for six years in their own home by their neighbor.

The mother, who does not wish to be named, says investigators believe 30-year-old Christopher Tom filmed them naked for years.

But because of the law, Tom faces a limited number of charges.

"My home was my sanctuary, I just loved it."

But she says her Pocket area home hasn't felt the same.

"I always feel like somebody's watching me."

Recently, her adult daughter was in the shower, only to look up and see a camera filming through the window.

"I was shocked, and I was sickened. I had a pit in my stomach. How could that happen?"

Police would perform a search, eventually arresting Tom. According to the mother and court documents, police would retrieve DVDs from Tom's home showing both her daughter and Mary showering naked—videos dating back at least a year.

"I feel violated. My daughter does not sleep well at night."

Tom has been charged with 15 counts of peeping in just the last year, but all of them are misdemeanors.

Mary says investigators told her the tapes go back further.

"The final year that the tapes go back to is 2007."

But Tom won't be charged for those videos, because they were filmed more than a year ago.

"It sickens me. I feel our house was violated."

The mother's husband wishes more was being done.

"He just went to court, and the fact that he is a first-time offender. He may get off with just probation."

According to the couple, they believe Tom has moved out of his family home. They also say they have a protective order against him while he's out on bond.
