Mother Arrested After 4-Year-Old Girl Found In Her Trunk

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The mother of a 4-year-old child has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after the child was found in her trunk.

Sacramento Police responded to a welfare check call at 2:30 p.m. at the 7900 block of Pocket Road Thursday afternoon.

Officers found the child in the trunk and began administering CPR.

The girl was taken to the hospital, where she died later.

The mother is described as being in her 20s.
