Cee Lo Green Accused Of Illegally Giving Woman Ecstasy

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Prosecutors have charged Cee Lo Green with illegally giving a woman ecstasy while at a dinner in Los Angeles last year.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office charged the singer, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, on Monday. Callaway was charged with one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance. If convicted he faces four years in state prison.

Prosecutors say they declined to file a rape charge against the singer.

The 39-year-old singer is due to be arraigned Monday afternoon.

Callaway is the Grammy winning singer of the hit "Forget You" and performed as part of the duo Gnarls Barkley. He appears as a judge on NBC's "The Voice" competition show.

The singer's representatives did not have an immediate comment.
