Sacramento County Deputy Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Teen Formally Charged

Nevada City (CBS13) - Formal charges have been filed against the former Sacramento County deputy accused of sexually assaulting a boy for several years.

The Nevada County District Attorney has charged Donald Black with five felony counts of lewd or lascivious act with a child of 14 or 15 years. He was also charged with four misdemeanor counts of unauthorized possession of anabolic steroids.

Although the alleged acts took place when the victim was 14, the now-21-year-old only came forward recently about the abuse.

Black was arrested on Sept. 24, but was later released after posting $100,000 bail.

Investigators do not believe the allegations are an isolated incident, which date back to 2006 and 2007. They are believed to have occurred at Black's home just outside of Grass Valley.

Black's arraignment is scheduled for Monday morning.
