Crews Investigating Cause Of Early Morning Modesto Fire

MODESTO (CBS13) - Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish an early Friday morning structure fire in Modesto.

Just before 1:30 a.m., Modesto Regional Fire responded to the 2800 block of Hobart Court to a wood-paneled storage shed fully engulfed in flames.

The shed, which had a 16 foot high loft, contained items such as patio furniture, tools, chlorine tablets and muriatic acid.

Crews put out the fire within 15 minutes, and were able to contain the chemicals.

The exact cause is still under investigation, but it is believed the fire started inside the shed.

The fire caused about $6,000 worth of damage.
