ROCKLIN (CBS13) – A teacher at Whitney High School is under arrest for allegedly texting an underage girl nude photos of himself and asking her for sex.

Richard Eldredge, 41, of Sacramento was arrested by Rocklin police on Monday and booked into Placer County Jail on felony charges of unlawful contact with a minor for unlawful sexual purposes, according to a statement by Rocklin police.

The 17-year-old victim told police Eldredge “sexted” her more than once over the course of the last month either asking for sex or sending the pictures of himself.

The incidents were initially reported to police from someone not associated with the school.

Eldredge had been working at the school as a theater arts teacher. He was placed on administrative leave by the Rocklin Unified School District.
