Suspect In Stockton's First Homicide Of 2014 Arrested
STOCKTON (CBS13) — A suspect accused of Stockton's first murder of 2014 was arrested in Tuolumne County.
Bryan Cook, 38, was arrested on suspicion of homicide and booked into San Joaquin County Jail.
Officers got a tip about a possible homicide on Mist Trail Drive, but when they responded, they found the tenants had moved out. There was evidence at the scene a crime had taken place, but no body.
Tuolumne County Sheriff's deputies found Cook in their jurisdiction and a body.
This was Stockton's first homicide of the 2014 after a significant drop in 2013. Last year, the number of homicides in Stockton dropped from 71 to 32.
