SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento Girl Scouts got their shipments of more than 1 million cookie boxes today.

It was their annual “Mega Cookie Drop” at Cal Expo. More than 600 volunteers and staff helped load thousands of cases into troops’ cars.

There were more than a 1,000 scheduled pickups at the event.

“We have more than 15,000 [boxes]…to distribute to their customers,” said Girl Scout spokesperson Linda Farley.

Monday will be Modesto’s turn.
