Gov. Jerry Brown Agrees To Debate Neel Kashkari

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - California Gov. Jerry Brown has agreed to one debate with his Republican rival, Neel Kashkari, in the 2014 governor's race.

The one-hour debate -- first reported by KQED News on Monday -- is scheduled for Sept. 4 in Sacramento. Brown has previously said he was unsure whether he would debate Kashkari.

KQED says it is producing the September debate along with the he Los Angeles Times, the California Channel and Telemundo California.
