Man, Woman Shot And Killed Along Tuolumne River
MODESTO (CBS13) – A man and woman are dead after a shooting near the Tuolumne River late Sunday morning.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, the incident happened just after 11:15 a.m. near the Tuolumne River and the 600 block of River Road. Deputies who responded to the scene found that a man and a woman had been shot.
The woman was soon pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to Doctors Hospital, but he later died as well, deputies say.
Investigators believe that the man and woman had been living along the river.
Deputies were able to locate the suspect at the scene. No one else is wanted in connection to the case, detectives note.
Investigators have not commented on what led up to the shooting.
