SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — An employee with the California Department of Corrections was arrested as part of an investigation into marijuana cultivation connected to a street gang, the Sacramento Police Department announced on Wednesday.

A tip from the police gang enforcement team revealed someone on the inside may have been involved with the criminal activity tied to a known street gang.READ MORE: Tesla Fire In Alameda County Over 500 Acres
In all, 617 marijuana plants, 248 pounds of packaged and processed marijuana were seized, along with cash and firearms.

Also arrested were Tommy Su, 29; Phu Su, 33; Michael Su, 29; and Vich Nguyen, 29.
