Police: 5 Dead In 3 Shootings Overnight In Stockton

STOCKTON (CBS13) – A violent night in Stockton has left five people dead.

The deaths were the result of three different incidents that happened within hours of each other. The first incident happened just before midnight Sunday, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Police say that officers were called to the 1500 block of Bordeaux Avenue and found that a man had been shot in the front yard of a home in the area. That man was taken to the hospital, but soon died from his injuries.

Later Sunday morning, police announced that they had arrested 21-year-old Andy Hem in connection to the shooting. Police say that Hem killed a family member, but they have not identified the victim at this time.

The second incident happened at midnight along the 3200 block of Farmington Road, police say. Officers were called to the scene and found that a man had been shot. Witnesses said that they heard gunshots and then saw some cars speeding away just after the shooting. No other details about the incident have been released.

In the final incident, police say that three people were found shot to death in a car along the 1100 block of East March Lane. Officers were called to the scene just after 3:30 a.m. and found the gruesome scene.

Roshan Campos identifies herself as the mother of one of the victims. She says her 19-year-old daughter - a mother to an 18-month-old baby - is dead.

"She asked me to watch the baby and this is what I woke up to this morning," Campos said.

Police officers have not identified the victims. They say three people were killed after a dispute...a fourth was shot. He is now at the hospital.

At the scene, another woman says her stepson was killed in the gunfire.

"I was informed about an hour or so ago, that my stepson is in that car, dead," Beverly Pellandini said.

Police would not confirm if any of the shootings were gang-related, but they do believe that none of the incidents are related.
