SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Waiting for ballots to be counted in a tight election can be trying for both sides. As updates come out from the county elections office, both sides release their own statements about the process, while still keeping hope alive for their respective supporters.

But sometimes, as was the case in the Seventh District U.S. House race, there’s really nothing to say that the other side hasn’t already said.

The campaign for Republican challenger Doug Ose sent out the following update on ballot challenges on Friday afternoon:

As you’ll notice, it’s essentially the same statement, just with any references to Bera or Bera’s campaign crossed out and replaced with Ose.
