Paralyzed Sacramento Woman Raped In Wheelchair Speaks Out At Attacker's Sentencing

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A paralyzed woman, raped in her own wheelchair, spoke out on the day her attacker was sentenced to 15 years to life in state prison.

Abraham Arroyo broke into the victim's apartment on Power Inn Road in Sacramento and attacked her. Paralyzed from the waist down, the victim couldn't fight back.

A jury convicted Arroyo in September.

Our cameras were rolling as Arroyo's victim shared her story.

"Always feeling alone when people were near, always feeling afraid and wanting to crawl back into closed rooms soon became my comfort," she said.

The victim's brother said his sister had been a victim all her life, and that she's seen many tragedies in her life.
