Little Joe Loudmouth: Watch, 10 Years Ago Today, The Malace At The Palace

I'll never forget, 10 years ago today, watching the Pistons host the Pacers.  The Pacers with a 10 point lead late in the 4th quarter.  Ron Artest with a very unnecessary hard foul on Ben Wallace.  Wallace shoves Artest with a vicious thrust, pushing him back to the scorers table.  Artest lays down on the table while ironically, Rasheed Wallace tries his best to break things up.  A fan then throws a beer at Artest and then all hell breaks loose.  I'll never forget that feeling of "I can't believe this is actually happening".

Artest charging up at the fan who threw the beer, but swings on the wrong guy.  The face on that poor guy by the way, is priceless as he realizes this giant man is about to end his life.  Stephen Jackson, of course, rushes up to throw some punches because he can't let Artest have all the fun.  Fans then start to charge the court.  Jermaine O'neal almost kills some short fat dude.  Security trying to rush the players off the court while these idiot fans continue to throw beer and popcorn at the players.  Absolutely insane.

The players were fools, the fans were worse in one of the most ugly, unthinkable things you could ever imagine seeing at a sporting event, the Malice at the Palace.
