Sierra College Student Suspected Of Carving Death Threats Into Trees

ROCKLIN (CBS13) – A 21-year-old Sierra College student has been arrested on allegations he carved death threats into trees near campus, police say.

Rocklin Police says a professor found the messages – whose content has not been disclosed – in numerous trees in the trails behind the Sierra College campus. The professor reportedly notified police and an alert was sent out to the campus community.

The alert helped investigators pinpoint a suspect, police say. Tuesday, 21-year-old Garden Valley resident Stephen Meadows was taken into custody in connection to the messages.

Meadows is facing charges making criminal threats and vandalism. He is currently being held at Placer County Jail and is ineligible for bail.
