SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Authorities have confirmed that person found dead inside of a car in Elk Grove is that of missing person Aubrey Andrews.

The Prius belonging to Andrews was found Monday night along the 8400 block of Elk Grove Boulevard. A body was found inside the car, but authorities did not make a positive identification at the time.

Early Wednesday afternoon, Sacramento Police announced that the person found inside the car was indeed Aubrey.

No cause of death was given by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. However, authorities have previously said that no obvious signs of foul play have been found. The investigation could take 6 to 8 months, officials say.

Aubrey, who was 9 months pregnant, had been missing since Dec. 6. The coroner’s office lists the baby’s death at the same time as his mother’s.
