Teen Arrested In Connection With Shooting Of 2 Teens Near Lodi

WOODBRIDGE (CBS13) - A teenager has been arrested in connection with the shooting of two teens in Woodbridge on Monday night.

The incident happened at around 8 p.m. in the area of Carolina and Orange streets in the town of Woodbridge, which is near Lodi, according to a San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department statement.

One victim was shot in the abdomen and the other was shot in the neck and stomach.

Deputies say the victims knocked on doors looking for help. Both are expected to recover.

The shootings appear to be gang-related, authorities say.

"Both of the kids were walking through the neighborhood at the time. The suspects were in a silver vehicle and they completed a drive-by-type shooting," said San Joaquin County Sheriff's Dept. spokesperson Lt. Steve Pease. "When they were shot they ran to a number of homes in the neighborhood here requesting help."

The suspect has not been identified because of his age.
