SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A controversial Super Bowl commercial was pulled after online outrage over the video’s message.

GoDaddy debuted its spot called “Journey Home” on Tuesday morning. The ad tells the tale of a puppy who fell off a truck, that found his way home to a puppy mill where he was sold.

The backlash against the company was strong enough, they pulled the ad.

It’s not the first controversy featuring the domain and hosting provider involving animals. In 2011, video of CEO Bob Parsons’ elephant hunt sparked outrage and led to users shunning the service.

The provider has also been the scorn of the web community for unexpected increases in price for customers, and being a notoriously difficult service for customers to leave.
