Folsom Prison Inmate Dies After Suffering Multiple Stab Wounds In Maximum-Security Cell

FOLSOM, Calif. (AP) - An inmate at a Sacramento-area prison has been found dead in his maximum-security cell of multiple stab wounds.

Corrections officials said 35-year-old Roberto Baldizon was found Tuesday morning at California State Prison-Sacramento.

A weapon made by an inmate was found at the scene.

Baldizon was serving a 12-year sentence from Los Angeles County for assault with a deadly weapon.

His cellmate was identified as a suspect but has not been charged.

The cellmate, 37-year-old Antolin Cepeda, is also from Los Angeles County and is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder.

The prison is limiting the movements of other inmates in the housing unit where the attack occurred. The prison is about 20 miles east of Sacramento and holds nearly 2,200 inmates.
