Report: George Karl in 'Serious' Talks With the Kings

A report has surfaced that George Karl, former head coach of the Denver Nuggets, is in 'serious' talks with the Sacramento Kings. Two people with knowledge of the situation told USA Today Sports, that it is "not in the red zone just yet" but there has been much advancement in the talks, a hiring announcement could happen in the coming days.
The hiring of Karl might be the good news for Kings fans. Since the firing of head coach Michael Malone, the team has had lost 18 out of 24 games under Tyrone Corbin. It is reported the Kings General Manager, Pete D'Alessandro, traveled to Denver to talk to Karl about the job. D'Alessandro worked with Karl at the Nuggets organization.
Karl is the most accomplished coach in the market. He ranks sixth in all time wins for an NBA coach and has the fourth best winning percentage.
