Sac State's Corpse Flower Gets Its Own Webcam

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Wherever you happen to be in the world when Sacramento State University's corpse flower blooms, you'll be able to take it all in via webcam.

On March 10, the university said in a statement the flower was close to blooming, and would do so by around March 20th, revealing its short-lived flower whose fragrance is described by some as rotting flesh. Nearly two weeks later, the flower remains closed.

You can view the flower live, here.

This will be the first time the university's 20-year-old flower has bloomed. Once it open, the flower will only live another 24-48 hours.

At the beginning of March, the school verified a flower was soon going to bloom.
