Police Release Photo Of Car In Hit-And-Run Bicyclist Death

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - One person is dead after a car hit a bicyclist in Sacramento and took off. Police are now asking for the public's help to find the car involved.

The incident happened at around 6:44 p.m. on Tuesday. A man in his 40s was reportedly riding southbound on Sully Street near Marlin Spike Way when a silver two-door, 1992-2002 Cadillac Eldorado, also heading south on Sully Street, hit him and knocked him to the ground, according to a Sacramento Police Department statement.

The man suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

Police canvassed the neighborhood and found surveillance video that captured an image of the vehicle.

Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
