WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The driver of a big rig was injured Thursday in West Sacramento after his truck caught fire.

At around 10:30 a.m., the truck was traveling in the area of Tower Bridge Gateway and South River Road when the driver says he saw smoke coming from the truck.

He got out of the truck and disconnected the trailer, receiving burns to his hands.

Jefferson Boulevard was briefly closed.
