Five People Injured In Alleged Biker Shootout In Stockton

STOCKTON (CBS13) - A reported shootout between two motorcycle gangs in Stockton left at least four bikers and a bystander injured.

At around 1:45 p.m., several bikers converged on Deja Vu Showgirls nightclub on West Lane in Stockton for a show and shine-type event. About 15 minutes later, a fight broke out and shots were fired, according to Lt. Steve Pease, a San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department spokesperson.

Pease says two people fired the shots. One had a handgun and another had a shotgun.

Four people were injured during the incident. One person who was pulled over by police at Alston Way and W. Alpine Avenue a short time after the shooting had a non-life threatening injury. Another person was wearing biker gear when they arrived at the hospital with injuries from being beaten and claimed they were not at the club when they were injured. A third person who was hit by a shotgun round was detained at the scene. And a boy who was in a vehicle driving past the incident at the time of the shooting suffered cuts to his face after his vehicle was hit by gunfire. It's unknown if the cut was from glass or a bullet fragment.

Deputies are watching surveillance video to determine what led up to the shooting. Most of those injured are not cooperating with police.

The investigation is ongoing.
