LINCOLN (CBS13) – Police say the body of a woman was found in the Auburn Ravine early Sunday afternoon.

The scene was near Lincoln Boulevard and Gateway Drive.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, officers were called to the scene around 1:15 p.m. after someone reported seeing a body floating in the water.

Once at the scene, first responders discovered that it was the body of a woman in the water. Crews were able to get the woman out of the water and take her to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center, but she was pronounced dead just before 2 p.m.
