Man Shot And Killed Sunday Inside Sacramento Apartment
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting on Sunday afternoon in Sacramento.
At around 2:58 p.m. police went to an apartment building in the 724 Lampasas Avenue to investigate reports of assault an assault and reports of gunshots. There they found a 30-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics arrived soon after and declared the man dead, according to a police statement.
Detectives say the shooting happened just after at least two suspects walked into the complex. They believe the suspects shot the victim and then ran off.
The victim is identified as 39-year-old Peter Standley.
Robbery may have played a role in the shooting, but an exact cause of the shooting is unknown, say police.
