WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — West Sacramento Police are hoping cellphone video of an attack on an elderly man will get a second suspect to turn himself in.

Police have already arrested a male suspect for the crime that happened on Thursday at around 3 p.m.

The video shows someone on the right beating an older man. The victim gets up and tries to get away, but then the two suspects come after him again. One of them hits the man, dropping him to the ground, then kicks him out cold.

“My wife kind of told me and showed me on the computer and I was like, wow, it was pretty bad,” said Billy Bruton.

He’s stunned it happened on his block.

Older neighbors say they don’t have to watch it online, since it’s all the talk here. Longtime resident Harry Klemm says it’s troubling to see in a neighborhood that’s changed over the years.

“The neighborhood’s getting a little worse. it used to be real quiet and everything, but now, they got a lot of guys walking back and forth,” he said.

Police say they don’t have a motive for the crime, and the victim was not critically injured.
