Boy, 14, Shoots And Kills 9-Year-Old Brother

PERRIS, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a 14-year-old boy has shot and killed his 9-year-old brother in a Southern California home.

Riverside County Sheriff's Deputy Patty Spoyer says the shooting, which was reported shortly after noon Saturday, is being investigated as an accident.

Spoyer said someone called 911 to report the shooting at a home in the city of Perris. When paramedics arrived, they pronounced the boy dead at the scene.

Spoyer said the circumstances surrounding the shooting were under investigation.

No further details were released.
