Kaepernick Says Goodbye To Justin Smith

After months of speculation, five-time Pro Bowler Justin Smith has officially announced his plans to retire from the NFL, according to 49ers.com.

Known as one of the league's strongest players, Smith split his 14-year career evenly between the Cincinnati Bengals and the San Francisco 49ers.

Smith, 35, began his football career in college at the University of Missouri, and was drafted by the Bengals in 2001.

After seven years with Cincinnati, Smith signed on with the 49ers in 2008, which sparked the beginning of his skyrocketing popularity as a national football player.

"As a football coach, you will always be searching for the next Justin Smith, knowing full well you will never find a player quite like him," said 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula.

You will be missed, Smith!
