2 Women Accused Of Helping Bury Marysville Man Arrested

YUBA COUNTY (CBS13) – The two women accused of helping a Marysville woman bury her murdered husband are being held without bail.

Lorena Ruiz, 25, and Maria Vega, 23, were arrested Saturday and booked for accessory to murder, the Yuba County Sheriff's Department says.

The day before, detectives found a man buried in a shallow grave in Olivehurst off Country Club Drive.

An anonymous tip told them where to look, deputies say. Tattoos found on the body helped detectives identify the man as 33-year-old Juan Miguel Rodriguez.

The man's wife, 33-year-old Monica Rodriguez was arrested Friday for his murder.

Detectives say she asked the two other women to help her bury him.

Rodriguez reported her husband missing in January, but it is unclear exactly how long Juan's body had been in the shallow grave. It is also unclear how he died.
