The A’s only have Marcus Semien as another top-5 vote receiver, placing third among shortstops with about 910,000 votes. He has more work to do than Vogt to catch up, being over 3 million votes behind another Royal, Alcides Escobar.

In fact, the Royals are absolutely dominating thus far, fans have been stuffing the digital ballot box over the last month and it is paying off. Mike Trout is the only non-Royal to be leading a position in voting, and even he isn’t leading the outfielders, coming in nearly 600,000 votes behind Lorenzo Cain.
