Your Essential Nor Cal Camping Checklist

This article is sponsored by Northern California Honda Dealers

Get out of the house and into the great outdoors of Northern California. But before you head out on your next adventure, remember your essential camping checklist.

Hot Water

The term "being in hot water" gets a new meaning with Coleman's hot water on demand. If you're camping for more than a few days, it's a real treat to have hot water available in order to shower, do dishes and wash your hands. This Coleman Hot Water on Demand Portable Water Heater holds a 6V lead acid battery that recharges in eight hours and can produce up to 40 gallons of hot water per propane canister and charge. Connect a water hose to the HWD to heat the water in just five seconds and store up to five gallons of water in the container for water storage.

Titanium Cookware

Titanium is the best metal for cookware, especially if you are backpacking, because it's so light and easy to pack. You'll find that titanium cookware is ultralight and features perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) - free nonstick coating. For a nice set of camping cookware, check out the Evernew TI ware Nonstick Cookset. This great cookset is a smart purchase, as four pieces act as six given that the two fry pans double as lids for the two  pots, sparing you the extra stuff to pack. That said, the entire set weighs just one pound, 2.7 ounces, so it's perfect for campers.

Water Purifier

Never want to change out the water purifier cartridge again? The Sawyer Complete Water Purifier System 4 liter  comes with a million gallon guarantee, so it should last your entire camping lifetime. Because this Sawyer is made of food grade plastic, it only weighs 20 ounces. Plus, given its size of only 20 inches by 10 inches, this little guy is great for backpacking. This purifier meets EPA removal rates using a 0.02 micron hollow fiber membranes to remove one celled organisms like protozoa, bacteria and viruses.
The Right Wheels

Do yourself a favor by heading out to a dealership at Nor Cal Honda for the right wheels for your next camping adventure. Whether you're a rugged soloist getting away from it all, or the parent in charge of an entire troupe of scouts, Honda is for you. Honda's 2015 CR-V with a seating capacity of five 5 is Motor Trend's Sport Utility of the Year, and gets 34 miles per gallon on the highway. The All New Versatile Honda Fit seats the same and with 41 mpg. The 2015 Odyssey seats eight, as does the 2015 Pilot. The Honda CR-Z sport hybrid is just for two, designed for fun and built for efficiency at 39 mpg highway. There are also plenty of more models to choose from, including alternative fuel vehicles and hybrids, not to mention pre-owned options. Whatever vehicle you're looking for, the right wheels await you at Nor Cal Honda
