Roseville Police Warn Of Fake National Guard Solicitors

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Police in Roseville are warning residents about illegal door-to-door solicitors after one was arrested recently.

Roseville Police say residents along San Carlos Circle reported on June 23 that some suspicious people were going door-to-door in their neighborhood. Residents said the solicitors were asking for donations for the National Guard.

Officers soon showed up in the neighborhood and stopped a 29-year-old Georgia man.

The man was arrested after officers allegedly found him carrying an illegal dagger in his pocket.

Police note groups may only do door-to-door soliciting in Roseville if they have a business license and are registered with the police department.
