Emails Show Kevin Johnson's Plot To Oust Head Of National Black Mayors Group

The emails that were made public suggest involvement by Johnson and his staff on conference matters, including a PowerPoint presentation detailing Johnson's strategy to oust the group's executive director and take over.

A judge delayed the release of 475 other emails that were part of the public records request by several newspapers. Johnson and his attorneys are arguing with the city and the newspapers that the emails are protected by attorney-client privilege.
