Emails Show Kevin Johnson's Plot To Oust Head Of National Black Mayors Group

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The City of Sacramento has released more than 6,100 emails which reveal how Mayor Kevin Johnson and his staff were consumed with an outside project that would benefit him.

A number of emails show how Johnson and city staff spent time and used taxpayer's money on Johnson's plan to oust the executive director of the national conference of black mayors.

Some emails show how Johnson and staff members went so far as to develop a PowerPoint presentation as part of Johnson's plan.

A private attorney for Johnson told the Sacramento Bee the mayor's involvement in the organization has nothing to do with Sacramento.
