Car Fire In South Sacramento Spreads To Home
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A car caught fire outside a South Sacramento duplex, forcing eight people out of their homes.
This incident happened on German Drive. When crews arrived to put out the flames, which had spread to the garage, they had to wake up sleeping residents.
"We didn't have enough smoke to start smoke detectors going. So the people inside had no idea the exterior of the house was on fire," said a firefighter.
The fire totaled one car and damaged two others. Damage is estimated between $30,000-$40,000.
