BREAKING: Kazmir Traded To Astros
With a little more than a week left before the trade deadline, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reported the Oakland A's have traded starting pitcher Scott Kazmir to the Houston Astros for righty Daniel Mengden and catcher Jacob Nottingham.
This is the first big trade of the season, and is likely the domino to fall before many other trades around the league start to happen. Kazmir was the A's No. 2 guy all year, posting a 2.38 ERA with a 5-5 record. He made the all-star team last season with the A's after signing with them in the offseason.
