Police: Report Of Knife-Wielding Man At Middle School In Vacaville Fabricated
VACAVILLE (CBS13) - The report of a man threatening a junior high school in Vacaville was made up by a student, say police.
"The entire Jepson incident fabricated by a student. No outstanding suspects at this time," according to a Vacaville Police Department statement.
Just before 1 p.m. Monday, Vacaville police said a student at the school reported being threatened by a man with a knife. The school was placed on lockdown as police searched the school grounds and a CHP aircraft search from above.
After police came up empty-handed, they allowed parents to come pick up their children. After school activities were also canceled for the day.
It's unknown why the story was fabricated.
