SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Students at Sacramento State University can expect to see their professors picketing campus today. They are demanding larger raises.

Faculty members are already receiving a pay increase of two percent this year, but say that’s not enough.

The California Faculty Association claims a five-percent increase is fairer, saying further that salaries in the past 10 years haven’t kept up with the cost of living.

“The California State University supports and values its faculty.  With contract negotiations underway at the system level, we are unable to provide additional comment,” according to a statement from the CSU Chancellor’s Office.
