The heatwave of triple-digit temperatures begins today in the Sacramento region. Temperatures were in the 60s on Tuesday morning, but they’ll be significantly higher in this afternoon.
Breezes are almost non-existent across Northern California, which is typical with a ridge of high pressure. It’s also causing temperatures to shoot up 10-15 degrees higher than normal for this time of the year. The trend will last until Saturday.
A heat advisory is in effect for the Bay Area from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Even the coastal regions will make it into the mid-90s.
