Zuckerberg: Facebook Is Working On 'Dislike' Button

SACRAMENTO (CBS Sacramento)-- Facebook users hoping to convey their disapproval of content posted to the site may be in luck.

The company is set to begin testing a new button that will express a range of emotions other than "liking" things, as reported by CNET.

"Not every moment is a good moment," Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Q&A session at its headquarters. Zuckerberg says he realizes people may not want to "like" posts such as tragic current events or close friends and family members passing away. He also noted that he doesn't want users to simply vote up or down on people's posts either.

Zuckerberg hopes the new options, which are currently being tested, will offer the social network's more than a billion users with a variety of emotional reactions.

The Facebook CEO has been holding "ask-me-anything" style sessions over the last year while discussing technology trends, free speech, and social issues.
