ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Authorities have identified the man found dead in a pond near the Rocklin library.

According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office, the coroner has identified the man as 26-year-old Rocklin resident Nicholas Ceane.

Someone walking to the Rocklin library made the grisly discovery Tuesday morning, Rocklin Police said. The pond is an old quarry sitting next to the library on a busy Rocklin road and is surrounded by a tall black fence.

The coroner’s office has not determined a cause of death.

Rocklin Police say Ceane had been reported missing from Auburn.
