Sacramento Sheriff: Man Shoots Wife After Argument, Kills Himself

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A man shot his wife after an argument, then turned the gun on himself, Sacramento Sheriff's deputies said on Sunday.

The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. on Saturday on the 4200 block of Annette Street.

Sheriff's investigators say they got a call from a man who said he shot his wife during an argument, then said he was going to kill himself.

When they arrived, deputies heard a single gunshot. Upon entry, they found a 55-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the man was treated for a life-threatening injury. His condition is unknown.
