Woman Says Walmart Intentionally Left Christmas, Christmas Eve Off Photo Calendar

By Abbott Dutton

MODESTO (CBS13) - It's a New Year tradition for one Modesto family, but this year the family calendar is missing something big -- and it's not the pictures.

Now they're fuming.

Every year Natalie Nevitt gathers up the 12 best pictures of all of her grandchild and orders personalized calendars to give away as gifts.

"Picking out my favorite is the hardest part," says Nevitt.

But this year when the box of calendars arrived, she discovered something was missing.

"I went immediately to Christmas and said I'm in trouble. A big day is missing," she said.

That's because December 25 in the calendars doesn't say Christmas. There's not even a Christmas Eve, so Nevitt doesn't think it was just a misprint.

"There's every other holiday I could think of, but Christmas is missing. That day means the most to all of us," she says.

After spending 10 minutes on hold with Walmart, Nevitt fired off an email asking for the calendars to be corrected or her money back.

Why not just go and write in Christmas on it?

"That kind of defeats the purpose. They've always done a fabulous job up until this point. Christmas is not something you forget. I'm sorry, it doesn't change per year," she said.

Nevitt hasn't heard back from Walmart, and the corporate offices are closed until Monday so we were unable to get a comment.

Meantime, the calendars missing Christmas are staying in the box.
