TURLOCK (CBS13) – The congregation at the Turlock Sikh temple that broke out in a brawl last Sunday invited the public to watch them worship peacefully inside the temple.

Turlock police and security were at the temple this Sunday watching the service.

So far, three people have been arrested in last Sunday’s brawl, which members say was sparked by a feud between two temple committees.

“Not only for the Sikhs in Turlock, but the Sikhs worldwide, it’s embarrassing … and we apologize for letting it happen,” said member Harsimran Singh. “We let the whole community down.”

The arrests made include a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, stemming from one temple member swinging a religious sword at another during the brawl.
