Cosumnes River College Student Arrested For Snapchat Threat Against School

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A college student was arrested on Monday after police say he posted a credible threat to the school on social media.

Police say Christopher Salazar Munoz, 19, sent a disturbing message to a friend.

"Campus police received a tip from one of our students that another fellow student had sent out a message on Snapchat threatening the college," said Kristie West.

When police knocked on his door, school officials say he confessed to sending the message threatening to shoot into a classroom, though no specific classroom or students were mentioned.

No weapons were found in the home.

"Any threat against a college campus is credible. We have to at least look into it obviously," West said.
