Raiders Owner Mark Davis Talks Sacramento

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS13) – The Oakland Raiders' fate is still up in the air after they gave the NFL gave the option to the Chargers and Rams to move to Los Angeles.

No one is publicly talking about wooing the Raiders at this time, but what about privately?

Raiders owner Mark Davis says he has talked about a Sacramento Raiders stadium, but beyond that he won't offer specifics.

"It's just, it's been talked about," Davis said. "I'm interested in finding the Raiders a home."

At a red carpet exchange with reporters, Davis said he's in negotiations now to extend a temporary lease at the Oakland Coliseum for next season.

He's hopeful for something more permanent.

"Tomorrow's another day, and you never know what can happen," Davis said.

We asked what about Sacramento appeals to him.

"Well they just built a new arena, they're building one, and Kevin Johnson's a heck of a guy," Davis said. "I get along very well with him. I talked to him the other day. Not about a stadium but we talked."

The mayor's spokesperson said he's not aware of this exchange between Davis and Johnson.
