Sacramento City College Student Accused Of Recording Men In Bathroom

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Investigators say several students noticed a man placing his cellphone in a bathroom stall hoping to record video.

Sacramento City College student Jhamon Venerable, 19, was arrested and is accused of walking into a men's restroom at on Wednesday with his cellphone in hand and allegedly secretly recording two other male students using the stalls.

School officials say the two victims saw the phone and took action.

"They took the cellphone and went to an appropriate authority on it," said spokesman Rick Brewer.

Venerable admitted to CBS13 that he did secretly record the men, but when we gave him a chance to explain himself, he slowly closed the door.

Venerable is charged with a misdemeanor, and campus police are still investigating.
