It Is National Pancake Day: Get a Free Short Stack at IHOP

STOCKTON (CBS13) - It's National Pancake Day, and there is still time to celebrate at International House of Pancakes while helping make a change for kids at the same time.

Show up to one of the many IHOP restaurants in Northern California before 7 p.m. Tuesday and you can receive a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In return for the delicious dish, IHOP is for donations to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Last year, one IHOP restaurant in Stockton reportedly made more than 3,000 pancakes. This year, employees there think they will serve up even more.

Since beginning its annual tradition in 2006, IHOP restaurants across the US have raised nearly $20 million to support local charities. This year's goal has been set at $3.5 million.

And if pancakes are not your thing, IHOP says you can still help out the Children's Miracle Network by purchasing a $5 "balloon" at restaurants. They will then give you a $5 coupon towards your next visit.
